Kenny Chesney Awarded - Secures country music’s top prize

This is the fourth time Kenny Chesney has bagged this award in five years This is the country’s top Entertainer of the Year award

“It’s very wonderful to stand up here and hold this trophy for the fourth time. I love what I’m doing,” said Chesney, who tied Garth Brooks for most wins of the Country Music Association’s top award. Dressed in black he held the crowd mesmerized.

There was a close tie for the award with fellow nominees Paisley, Strait, Sugarland and Keith Urban. This is an achievement for 40-year-old Kenney Chesney who has been performing for 11 years now. In these 11 years he won the best entertainer award in 2004,2006 and 2007. His memorable records are “Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven,” “There Goes My Life,” and “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy.”

So he is not new to fame. He has sold more than a million concert tickets and he has seven CMA nominations under his belt. He had a disastrous marriage with Renee Zellweger, which lasted barely a few months.

The performance was rocking. He performed with the reggae band the Wailers of Bob Marley fame, sang the Marley hit” three little birds’

“To have the Eagles here, to have the Wailers on stage with me, I thought it was a great show, a very musical show. I enjoyed it,” Chesney
