FAA officials claim Butte airplane crash may have killed 17 including children.
Butte, MT (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) www.faa.gov and the National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) www.ntsb.gov state a possible 14 to 17 people were killed in a small plane crash in Butte, Montana on Sunday afternoon. As reported by Bloomberg, the Pilatus PC-12, single engine turboprop aircraft, crashed short of the Butte runway at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday while attempting to land.
Preliminary reports, by federal and local aviation accident officials, cite the plane, registered to Eagle Cap Leasing, may have been carrying children who were on a ski trip. Eagle Cap Leasing is located in Enterprise, Oregon and the plane departed form Oroville, California en route to Bozeman, Montana. The small airplane diverted to Butte when it crashed and burst into flames at Holy Cross Cemetery about 500 feet short of the Butte runway.
