Dallas, Texas – A freak accident occurred on Interstate 35 in Dallas’ Red Bird area on Friday morning, injuring one child.
A fuel tanker heading southbound on the interstate lost a front tire, sending the giant tire into the median before it struck at least one vehicle – a minivan headed northbound
The big rig tire damaged the minivan’s passenger window.
Dallas County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kim Leach said a child inside the minivan was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Lead also said the driver of the fuel tanker will not face any charges for the accident.
