Dallas, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – Singer Erykah Badu has been charged following complaints about her nude music video shoot in downtown Dallas. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), officials announced on Friday that the entertainer will be charged with disorderly conduct after disrobing in Dealey Plaza for her “Window Seat” video.
Sgt. Warren Mitchell is quoted by the AP as stating of the decision to charge Badu with the misdemeanor, which can warrant a fine of up to $500, “Having a fact witness that was there is what let us file the charges… After much discussion, we feel that these charges best fit her conduct. She disrobed in a public place without regard to individuals and small children who were close by.”
A citation will reportedly be sent to Badu in the mail.
