Woman flees after injuring children in chase

A woman accused of shoplifting reportedly fled from her crashed vehicle during a chase while her children sat injured.

Lancaster, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – A Dallas woman accused of shoplifting reportedly attempted to flee police on foot following a vehicle chase that resulted in injury to her two children. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, Lashall Denise Williams has been jailed following the chase stemming from her allegedly shoplifting from a Wal-Mart in Lancaster. Williams reportedly left her children in the crashed vehicle when tying to run away from police on foot.

As noted in the report, Williams’ children, ages 4 and 5, were subsequently taken to local hospitals for treatment and placed in the custody of Child Protective Services. The 29 year-old mother has reportedly been charged with theft as well as aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, injury to a child, and leaving the scene of an accident.
