Dallas, TX – Country music star Randy Travis has been charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing his vehicle at around midnight on Tuesday. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the singer was purportedly found naked at the scene and refused to submit to sobriety tests.
Tom Vinger, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Public Safety, is stated in the report to say the singer threatened Texas Highway Patrol troopers at the time of the arrest. A blood specimen was reportedly taken following his refusal to take any sobriety tests, for which authorities are still awaiting the results.
Travis, 53, was arrested earlier this year for public intoxication. He has been released on the recent charges on a $21,500 bond.
