La Habra, CA – After a failure on her part to file required documents for her claim, a judge has thrown out the bankruptcy case of Nadya Suleman. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Suleman, who became widely referred to in the media as ‘Octomom’ following the birth of her octuplets in 2009, is said to have not filed paperwork showing an inability to pay as much as $1 million in purported debt, leading her case to be tossed out in court on Tuesday.

Suleman filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in April, after the unemployed single mother of 14 had incurred debt to over a reported 20 parties. There is reportedly a pending foreclosure on her current home, which can now proceed following the case being thrown out in court.

As noted by the AP, Suleman conceived each of her children via in vitro fertilization. The octuplets are the longest living set in the world.

New York – A portion of the National Defense Authorization Act has been deemed a violation of the First Amendment by a federal judge. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), U.S. District Judge Katherine Forrest ruled on Wednesday that the part of the law which grants the government broad regulatory powers in detaining, interrogating, and prosecuting those suspected of terrorism, violated the rights of individuals under First Amendment protection. A lawsuit was filed in January as a challenge to the measure, which was signed into law in December.

Bruce Afran, an attorney for the plaintiffs in the case, is quoted by the AP as stating of the judge’s ruling, “She’s held that the government cannot subject people to indefinite imprisonment for engaging in speech, journalism or advocacy, regardless of how unpopular those ideas might be to some people.”

New Zealand – Three students who were enrolled at Boston University but had been in New Zealand studying have been killed in an accident. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the students were traveling in a minivan when it crashed and subsequently rolled, killing the three students at the scene and injuring at least five others Saturday morning.

Boston University President Robert Brown is quoted by the AP as releasing the statement online, “This is a horrible tragedy… Our prayers go out to the students and their families. We will do all we can to provide comfort and assistance to those who have been injured, and to the families and friends of the victims. The university is mobilizing all of our resources to help our students and families deal with this tragedy.”

Tennessee – A man has been arrested in connection with a crime that was purportedly committed by his twin brother, who is now deceased. As reported by KSEE News, Mitch Torbett was arrested in Tennessee on a warrant linked to a federal crime committed in Louisiana years ago. Torbett’s twin, Mike, who passed away two years ago, was listed on an affidavit for the crime; however, an issue with mistaken identity led to Mitch being arrested and spending several hours in jail before things were sorted out.

Torbett is now reportedly planning to file a civil suit for the false arrest. He is quoted in the report as stating of the matter, “Emotionally, I can’t even put it into words… If they would’ve trusted me, if they would’ve given me the benefit of the doubt, if they would’ve done that, none of this would’ve happened.”

Albany, New York – The family of a woman killed in a fatal accident is suing the Department of Transportation, alleging that the state transportation engineer who purportedly caused the wreck was intoxicated while driving a state vehicle. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the lawsuit filed by the estate of Nancy McQueeny asserts that the employers of 79-year-old Wendell Strum, who was also killed in the vehicle accident, had knowledge of Strum’s history of drinking while on the job.

As noted in the report, toxicology reports indicted Strum was legally intoxicated at the time of the accident. His vehicle hit McQueeny’s after crossing into an oncoming lane.

James Gleason, an attorney with the law firm representing the family of McQueeny, is quoted by the AP as stating, “It is disconcerting that a state employee is intoxicated in the middle of the afternoon, driving a state vehicle.”

Strum had reportedly been employed by the Department of Transportation for 57 years.

7) Lunges - take a big step forward lower your body down until your trailing leg nearly touches the floor, push off the front foot back to where you started then alternate legs (do not let your knee pass your toes)

Dumbbell Bicep Curls - standing up straight with your arms down by your side keep your elbows still and lift the weight up to your bicep

9) Tricep Dips - place your hands behind you on a chair or step. Keep your bottom close to your hands, sit down to 90 degrees then back up (do not lock your elbows)

10) Dumbbell Side Bend - standing up straight, reach down one side of your body as far as you can and then the other (do not twist your core)

11) Basic Crunches - lying on the floor with your legs at 90 degrees and your hands on your temples sit up and stop just before the small of your back comes off the floor. Lower back down until your shoulder blades touch the ground

12) Reverse Crunches - lying on the floor with your legs at 90 degrees then slowly bring your knees into your chest and gently lower your back down and repeat

13) Back Extensions - lying face down with your hands on your temples, slowly lift your upper body off the floor and back down.

Make sure you’re not stiff the day after exercising by completing your programme with these simple stretches:

1) Quad Stretch - holding on to your foot, pull one leg into your backside

2) Hamstring Stretch – with your legs straight, reach for your toes

3) Calf Stretch - stand with the balls of your feet on a step, legs straight and allow your heels to drop down

4) Lats Stretch - reach above your head and lean over to one side then the other

5) Chest Stretch – with your hands on the small of your back (palms of your hands turned in) push your elbows together

6) Triceps Stretch - bend your arm above your head and use your other arm to pull the bent arm towards your head

7) Rear Deltoid Stretch - place one arm across the body and using your other arm, pull into your body

Neck Stretch - gently lean your head to one side and use your hand to gently pull in the same direction

9) Lower back - lie on your back and pull your knees into your chest and hug them
