Perth Amboy, NJ– About 1,400 wooden fruit puzzles were voluntarily recalled for choking hazards by Kid O Products, LLC and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The CPSC announced the product recall on March 10, 2011.
The product recall was issued after discovering that the knobs attached to the puzzle fruits can come loose, which poses a choking hazard to young children.
“This recall involves wooden puzzles that consist of a board and four pieces representing an orange, a plum, a pear and an apple. Each piece of fruit has a wooden knob. The puzzle board measures 12 x 4.5 x ½ inches. ‘Grouping Objects – Fruit’ and style number10307 can be found on the packaging,” reported the CPSC press release.
Consumers are advised to return the puzzles to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers can also contact Kid O Products for instructions on how to mail the product back to the company to receive a full refund.
