BOSTON, MA — Alan Gray, Inc. (AGI), the recognized industry leader in the international insurance and financial services industry, has welcomed James (Jim) M. Page MPS as the newest Senior Analyst to the AGI team of experts.
Before joining AGI, Jim was Vice President and Director of the Health Care Claim Auditing and Consulting Division for Sedgwick CMS/PL (legacy Caronia Corporation), focusing on the liability claims-related needs of programs with elements of self-insurance, excess and reinsurance. He has led teams as large as 32 colleagues on over 550 audits for 25 captives, 400+ hospitals and numerous Insurance and Reinsurance companies.
Since joining Alan Gray, Jim has led teams conducting nine claims audits with differing focuses, all within the Health Care Industry, including reserving, portfolio transfer, underlying layer reconciliation, coverage analysis, apportionment of liability, pre-underwriting, staffing and best practices. Jim also authored an article published in the MAGNA Legal Services October 2010 Newsletter entitled “Finding the Team in Litigation Management.”
Mr. Page will be part of a roundtable discussion on defending against “Never Events” during the CLM Conference in New Orleans (March 23-25, 2011), where AGI is a “Silver Level Sponsor.”
“With the addition of Jim to the Alan Gray team, we have added an additional dimension to our Health Care, Auditing, Consulting, TPA and Marketing practices, and reinforced our position to provide the widest range of services to the Health Care Industry,” said Alan Gray, Founder and Executive Vice President of Alan Gray, Inc (http://alangray.com).
In addition to health care auditing and consulting, AGI has been long recognized as a quality provider of a variety of critical services to the Insurance industry, including:
•Insurance Claim Management
•Claim Audit Services
•Legal Bill Auditing
•Inspection
•Collection
•Forensic Accounting
•Actuarial Services
“In these ever-changing times of insuring risks, modifying programs, alternating between carrier coverage for medical malpractice risks and self insuring, we serve the role of the objective expert. By analyzing our client’s claims data, we provide confidence and objectivity to underwriters, actuaries, brokers, carriers and reinsurers,” said Gray.
The knowledge learned during feasibility or certification audits provides the basis for adequate funding and premium calculation. Post SIR Trust, Captive or RRG formation, AGI can then administer self-insured portions of programs going forward, applying best practices of insurance claim management.
AGI’s reputation is well founded with Domestic and International carriers and reinsurers. These relationships and the friendly auditing and consulting projects performed on behalf of the carriers objectively recognize the efforts of the Insureds, compliance with policy reporting language and helps strengthen the relationship between the Insureds and the carriers. Effective insurance claim management, whether by the Insured or AGI in the Primary or by AGI for the carrier, builds the teamwork that yields favorable economic results.
To schedule a free consultation to discuss your health care claim administrative, claim auditing and consulting needs, whether in the self-insurance or carrier based arena, contact the AGI team at 800-468-6255. AGI will discuss your specific requirements and work within a decided upon budget to most economically meet your goals.
