Austin, TX(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–As reported by KXAN Austin’s NBC news affiliate, one of the six teenagers in an SUV rollover wreck involving a tractor-trailer on southbound I-35 during late rush hour traffic Thursday died. Highway fatality police detectives in Austin say the teenage SUV driver, traveling with five other teen passengers, ranging from ages 14-17 changed lanes suddenly colliding with the semi-truck driver.
Initial motor vehicle collision (MVC) investigation reports reveal the SUV driver swerved into the tractor-trailer’s lane in an attempt to avoid a rear-end collision. The SUV rolled several times after it was struck by the big rig truck. Rush hour traffic on Austin’s I-35 was bumper to bumper for several hours Thursday night. All six teenagers riding in the SUV were transported by emergency medical crews to University Medical Center at Brackenridge for treatment of their serious injuries. Doctors pronounced one of the unnamed teen accident victims dead.
