Mama Mucci’s of Michigan recalls frozen meat, poultry, and pasta Italian food.
Chicago, IL(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) www.fsis.usda.gov inspectors, a branch of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) www.usda.gov announced the voluntary recall of an undisclosed of frozen meat, poultry, and pasta food products made by Mucci’s Food Products, Inc. FSIS food safety inspectors were notified the Italian food company maker produced, sold, and distributed food products which were “adulterated and misbranded because they were prepared without the benefit of federal inspection.” FSIS office was informed by the USDA’s Office of the Inspector General of the federal violations by the Italian food manufacturer.
Mucci’s food company is based in Canton, Michigan and distributed, the Mama Mucci’s brand, uninspected meat, poultry, and pasta products to restaurants and brokers in Southeast Michigan, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio. The frozen meat, poultry, and pasta products were made from May 1, 2008 through April 24, 2009.
