Lawyers representing New York Times reache initial agreement with Boston unions.

Boston, MA(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–As reported by Market Watch late Monday, New York Times Company deals to hold off shuttering The Boston Globe. The New York paper conglomerate reached tentative deals with several Boston Globe unions.

Employment law insiders say no deal is in place with the Boston Newspaper Guild as of the end of the day Monday, but three other unions representing workers reached deals. The Boston Newpaper Guild is a union representing over 600 paper employees. New York Times Company executives decided against a 60-day formal shut down notice of the 137 year old Boston Globe, a demand the company threatened to force union workers to accept $20 million in pay and benefit concessions.
