Lawsuit against Spokane County deputies for alleged Super Bowl beating tossed.
Spokane, WA(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–As reported by The Seattle Times, a federal judge in Spokane dismissed a police brutality lawsuit filed by lawyers for an injured man against the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department. Personal injury attorneys for Douglas L. Myser filed a claim accusing Spokane County sheriff’s deputies of brutally beating Myser on Super Bowl Sunday, January 26, 2003.
U.S. District Court documents, filed by the plaintiff’s lawyers, claim Spokane deputies, Myser was driven to an undisclosed location and beaten unconscious by three officers. Myser suffered memory loss and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from the traumatic head injury allegedly inflicted by the three Spokane County Sheriff’s Department deputies. Federal Judge Fred Van Sickle dismissed all the claims made by Myser citing his legal team did not provide evidence he was assaulted.
