The National Labor Relations Board recently postponed the implementation date for its new notice-posting rule by more than two months. The new?implementation date is January 31, 2012. Since this rule applies to most employers, Dallas employment law specialist Keith Clouse suggests employers review this information.

?

The NLRB notice advises employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act. This law guarantees the rights of employees to organize and to bargain collectively with their employers. Most private sector employers, even those without union workers, will be required to post the notice. Employers who are required to post the notice can download it from the NLRB’s website. Employers should post it in a conspicuous place and should publish the notice on the company website if other workplace notices are posted there.

?

The implementation date was postponed so that more education and outreach could be conducted. Employers who have questions may consult the NLRB’s Frequently Asked Questions webpage. The NLRB plans to update this page as new questions arise.
