Charleston, SC — A lawsuit claims a popular Charleston restaurant is partly to blame after a man was involved in a fatal accident after leaving the Husk, reported ABC News 4.
The family of Quentin Miller, 32, of Mount Pleasant sued the Husk after their assistant manager, Adam Joseph Burnell, 32, rear-ended Millers car on the Ravenel Bridge. The collision set Miller’s car on fire and left him badly burned.
Miller was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The lawsuit asserts that the Husk allowed Burnell to drink alcohol excessively while working at the restaurant on December 16, which was just hours before the December 17 crash.
Burnell was charged with a felony DUI.
ABC News 4 reported that the lawsuit claims: “…The collision, injuries, property damage, damages and death, as described in this complaint were the direct, foreseeable and proximate result of the negligent, careless, willful, wanton, reckless and grossly negligent acts or omissions of the defendant (Husk/The Neighborhood Dining Group)…”
