Industrial Accident at Boeing’s Everett Plant Seriously Injured Worker

03/20/2012 // WPB, FL, USA // Injury Lawyers News // Nicole Howley

Everett, WA — An industrial accident at Boeing’s Everett factory seriously injured an employee Monday night, March 19, 2012, at about 7:30 p.m., the Seattle Post Intelligencer reported.

According to reports, the worker somehow became stuck between the spoiler and wing assembly on a 747 aircraft.

Boeing’s emergency medical team worked on the man until Everett Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene to transport him to Providence Medical Center, for treatment of serious injuries.

The nature of the victim’s injuries, his identity, or how the accident happened has not been released at this time.

Boeing is investigating the industrial accident. No word whether the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be investigating as well.

A Boeing spokesperson told the Seattle Times: “Safety is our number one concern and we’re concerned any time an employee encounters this type of injury,” Wall said. “Our focus is on the injured employee and his family as well. We immediately have begun an investigation of the cause so we don’t have a recurrence of anything like this in the future.”
