Johnny Keyser, the blue-eyed soul singer who wowed American Idol judges in such unprecedented fashion that a full ad-campaign was built around him, including Jennifer Lopez’s infamous exhortation, “You know you’re going to be a star, right?!” and the now popular American Idol slogan, “Keep Singing!”… but was mysteriously released from the show despite having given one amazing performance after another (and a stellar background to boot), has released his seven song EP of original songs titled, “From Where I Stand.” The EP was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Bryan Lenox (whose current clients include Elton John, TobyMac, Michael W. Smith). The CD features six original songs written and composed by Keyser, along with a cover of Sam Cooke’s “A Change is Gonna Come” as a bonus track.
