California Highway Patrol alerts California personal injury attorneys-Three car crash may have caused a traumatic brain injury.

Sacramento, CA—A three-car crash along Highway 16 left six people with injuries. The three-car pile-up occurred on Sunday, August 30, 2009 around 7:05 a.m. in the Madison area, as reported by the Daily Democrat.

According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), a Subaru driven by, Chad Longo, 26, of Sacramento, was traveling westbound along Highway 16 when he crossed over into the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on into an Acura. A Chevrolet traveling behind the Acura was hit by debris from the initial collision. The driver of the Acura, Jose Ayala, 45, of San Jose, and a passenger, Juan Garci, 33, of San Jose were injured in the collision. Ayala was airlifted by emergency medical services (EMS) crews to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of lacerations on his spleen and liver, fluid in his lungs, and small cuts. Garci was transported by EMS ambulance to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of neck, back, and a possible traumatic brain injury (TBI). Longo was also transported by EMS personnel to UC Davis Medical Center with stomach pains, a bump on his head, and cuts on both of his hands. The driver of the Chevy, Enriqueta Torres, 48, of Davis, and two passengers, Jose Garcia, 73, and Marie Torres, 71, was complained of head and neck pains but denied medical treatment. Police officials are currently trying to determine if Longo was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
