Los Angeles – Country singer Deana Carter has filed to legally separate from her husband. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the singer, whose debut album in 1996 Did I Shave My Legs for This? was certified 5x multi-platinum, filed for separation Tuesday in Los Angeles from her husband of three years citing irreconcilable differences.
The filing reportedly states that Carter and Brandon Malone separated in August of last year after marrying in October 2009.
Carter and Malone share no children together. Carter has a son from a previous relationship with music video director Chris Hicky.
