12-year-old boy to be arraigned in Kutcher ‘swatting’ prank

Los Angeles – A 12-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a prank on actor Ashton Kutcher in which police were sent to the celebrity’s home following a false emergency call. As reported by Reuters, the boy, whose named has been withheld, was charged with making a false emergency call on Thursday.

The boy is alleged to have claimed in the report that multiple people had been shot in Kutcher’s home, and men with explosives and guns were at the star’s residence. He faces multiple felony charges in connection with the incident.

Other celebrities such as Justin Bieber have also been the target of purported “swatting” pranks in recent months.
