Oklahoma City – A former Oklahoma teacher has been sentenced for taking lewd photos of her third grade students. As reported by Reuters, Kimberly Crain was sentenced Friday to 45 years in prison after pleading guilty to 19 counts of child sexual exploitation and other charges.
As noted in the report, Crain claimed the photos were taken at the request of her “online love interest,” college professor Gary Doby. Doby received a life sentence in January.
District Attorney Richard Smothermon is quoted in the report as stating of the ex-teacher’s crime, “This literally shook the community to its core…She was trusted and beloved by the community.”
