Ohio Highway Patrol alerts Ohio automobile accident lawyers- A school bus crash in Licking Township injured a student.

Licking Township, OH—A two-vehicle crash involving a school bus left a Lakewood schools student injured after the school bus the student was riding in rear-ended another vehicle. The crash happened on Thursday afternoon, October 22, 2009 around 3: 30 p.m., on Ohio 13, as reported by the Newark Advocate.

The Ohio Highway Patrol reported, a school bus was transporting students home from Lakewood High and Middle school, when a northbound car in front of the bus slowed down for another vehicle, which was preparing to make a turn, when the school bus rear-ended the slowing vehicle. One student was injured in the wreck, and was transported by area emergency medical services (EMS) teams to Licking Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The school bus driver, Bob Griffin, 69, of Thornville, was cited by police officials for following too closely. It is unknown if the driver or any occupants of the vehicle that was rear-ended by the bus was injured in the wreck. This is reportedly Griffin’s first collision on his record. The rest of the uninjured students traveling on the bus were transferred to another school bus to be transported the rest of the way home. The front left bumper of the school bus sustained damaged, but the bus was able to drive away from the scene of the crash. The Ohio Highway Patrol and Licking Township and Health fie departments all responded to the school bus crash. Police officials are conducting a full investigation into the two-vehicle crash.
