Colorado – An incomplete text was found on the cell phone of a 22-year-old college student who died in a fatal car crash. As reported by The Sydney Morning Herald, a photo of the text of Alexander Heit that was cut off mid-sentence was released following the crash on April 3, with his parents hoping that it will caution other drivers about texting while driving.

Heit reportedly drifted into the oncoming lane according to witnesses and ran off the road after jerking his vehicle.

Sharon Heit, Alexander’s mother, is quoted in the report as stating, “In a split second you could ruin your future, injure or kill others, and tear a hole in the heart of everyone who loves you.”
