Florida – The parents of George Zimmerman filed a lawsuit against actress and comedian Roseanne Barr. As reported by The Orlando Sentinel, the suit by Gladys and Robert Zimmerman Sr. alleges the couple had to leave their home after Barr posted their address online.
According to the lawsuit, Barr tweeted their address weeks after the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, whom their son was subsequently arrested for killing. The couple said that they had no involvement in the shooting and their son was not living with them at the time.
Barr is accused in the suit of “trying to incite “a lynch mob to descend” and carry out “vigilante justice.”
The case was filed on Monday in state circuit court.
