New York – A mother accused of smothering her 11-month-old baby to death may have also posted a picture of him on social media along with a caption stating “R.I.P.” As reported by The Huffington Post, other news outlets including the New York Post say Nicole Kelly’s Facebook post featured a picture of her deceased baby’s dead body with the caption “R.I.P. Tinkabutt.”
According to The Huffington Post, a Queens District Attorney’s office spokesperson told the news source that the accuracy of the reports could not be verified at the time.
A report from WABC states, “Investigators say [Nicole] Kelly told them she had “reached her breaking point” and just didn’t want her 11-month old boy anymore.”
Kelly has reportedly been charged with second-degree murder. She may be sentenced to 25 years in prison if convicted.
