Man sends probation officer text to buy drugs

Albany, GA – A man on probation sent out an accidental text that has led to his arrest. As reported by WALB, Alvin Cross Junior sent a text message to his probation officer looking for drugs.

According to prosecutors, Cross’ probation officer received a text that came from Cross asking “You have some weed?”

Cross’ home was subsequently raided by drug agents and probation officers. A bag of cocaine was reportedly found during the search.

Cross has been sentenced to one year in prison after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine.
