San Francisco – Transportation network company, Lyft, has introduced a new service feature that allows employers to pay the costs of employee rides. As reported by WebProNews, the company is launching Lyft for Work, which enables employers to issue Lyft credit for employee rides they wish to foot the bill for.
As noted in the report, Lyft for work will be initially launched with 29 corporate partners.
The company is quoted as stating of the endeavor, “Not only can Lyft commuter benefits improve morale and productivity in the short term, but insights on commute lengths and schedules can also help inform future HR decisions to keep employees happy long-term.”
Lyft further stated, “By encouraging their employees to share the ride, companies nationwide are pioneering a movement toward more efficient, affordable commutes and ultimately, a happier workforce.”
