Broadcast giant, CNN recently chose Inez Russell as a CNN Hero. CNN Heroes is a year-long initiative that honors everyday people for their selfless, creative efforts to help others.
Each year, CNN receives thousands of nominations from around the world. Every week, a CNN Hero is profiled on the global networks of CNN and CNN.com. Inez Russell’s segment can be viewed here: http://www.cnn.com/videos/tv/2015/06/22/cnnheroes-russell-extra.cnn. This fall, the 2015 Top 10 CNN Heroes will be announced. From the Top 10, viewers select the CNN Hero of the Year via online voting. The CNN Hero of the Year is revealed during “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute” (date/time TBD).
Now in its ninth year, CNN Heroes has received more than 50,000 nominations from more than 100 countries. Since 2007, the campaign has profiled more than 200 CNN Heroes. These heroes are working in more than 80 countries around the world, helping hundreds of thousands of people

She has dedicated her life to serving the elderly and adults with disabilities in the Waco area and around the state. Being honored on such a broad platform will bring so much recognition and awareness to the invaluable service that Friends for Life has offered for more than a quarter of a century.”
