Memphis – A woman was killed along with her nephew in a car accident after responding to a call to help family members whose vehicle had stalled on I-240. My Fox Memphis reported that the woman, Tiffany Wilkins, 26, was strapping her nephew into her car when she was hit by another vehicle.

The great aunt of the child, Loretta McNary stated of the circumstances of the crash “Before she could strap him in is when the car came… The impact, Tyrese didn't survive. (Tiffany) also died as a result of the accident, and she was just trying to help her family. It's hard.”

The grandmother and mother were still being treated for their injuries at Regional One when the accident occurred.

No charges have been filed in connection with the fatal crash. As noted in the report, Go Fund Me pages have been set up for both victims.
