Harris County, TX – The family of a man involved in a recent car accident in Harris County found him dead inside of the vehicle a day later. Deputies were called to the scene at approximately 11:30 pm the Friday following the crash after family members did not hear from him since the previous day.
Investigators say that Kevin Ashley was traveling at high speeds while following family members in another vehicle. Ashley’s relatives told deputies that they noticed his headlights had disappeared, and believed he had taken another route, but did not see his vehicle when they went back to search for him.
Ashley’s car was found by the family members hidden inside trees and bushes. Authorities say he crashed into them after losing control of the vehicle.
Investigators believe that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
