Seattle – A recent crash on a busy Seattle bridge between a charter bus and a tour vehicle has resulted in the deaths of four people. The Associated Press reported that dozens of people were also sent to area hospitals after the collision, which one witness said occurred after the “duck boat” tour vehicle swerved into the oncoming tour bus.
There was no official cause of the accident released immediately; however, initial reports described the incident as a head-on collision.
John Mundell, who said he was on the bridge at the time of the collision, is quoted as stating “We could hear the screech and twisted metal. It was surreal… I wanted to try to help. I felt helpless.”
A tour bus company called Ride the Ducks operates the amphibious vehicle. The president of the company Brian Tracey, stated following the crash “Our main concern right now is with the families of those hurt and killed.”
A team was sent by the National Transportation Safety Board to Seattle to investigate.
