A woman’s SUV was found crashed on a service road after her husband fatally shot her.
Fort Worth (WiredPRNews.com) – A Fort Worth crash on Tuesday was linked to a murder-suicide. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, a woman’s SUV was found crashed on a service road of a major highway after her estranged husband fatally shot her in the head. The man, John Paul Hurd, was subsequently pulled over for speeding before he shot and killed himself in the parking lot of a shopping center.
Sgt. Pedro Criado, a police spokesman, is quoted in the report as stating of the incident, “The officer had no idea that the woman that collided with the pole a few minutes prior was related to this SUV driving at a high rate of speed… The sole reason for him conducting a traffic stop” was speeding.”
