July 23, 2010 — Bosnian wind energy company Turbina IPD Ltd. announced that it will become a public company as it seeks financing for expansion. The listing will happen in early 2011 on the Banja Luka Stock Exchange.

Turbina IPD Ltd holds a patent for a vertical axis wind turbine, a hybrid system that can be combined with solar panels. The company said such a turbine is easy to manufacture with simple and low-cost materials and easy to transport. It is noiseless, makes no vibrations, uses the wind no matter which direction it blows from and is safe for birds and people.

The company said it is looking for $2.5 million for its expansion project with up to 25% of Turbina IPD’s shares made available.
