Sep. 17, 2010 — The city of Alamosa, Colo., has settled a 2008 salmonella contamination lawsuit that claimed the city sold tainted water to its customers. The settlement to 29 complainants was reportedly $360,000.
The outbreak, which resulted in one death and 400 reported cases of sickness, may have sickened up to 1,300 people, according to state health experts.
