Oct 19, 2010 /EIN Presswire/ – With Midterm elections on the horizon, Rasmussen polling is predicting large gains for Republicans in the House and Senate. Republicans need 39 seats to reclaim control of the House of Representatives, but experts are predicting as many as 55 gains for the GOP.
More difficult to call are Senate elections, with the closest races coming from California, Illinois, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Nevada.
Polling also reveals that the economy is far and away the top issue on voters’ minds as they head to the ballot box. One analyst said that the top three issues for this election cycle were “one, the economy, two, the economy, and three, the economy.”
