Miami, FL—A car slammed into a 9-month-old boy and his grandparents before crashing into a southwestern Miami post office Monday morning, Nov. 15, 2010. While the victims’ injuries were deemed to be non-life threatening, the cause of the wreck remained unknown, according to information provided by Just News.

Juan and Rosa Fuentes and their grandson, Jonathan Diaz, were about to walk through the want doors of a post office, located in the 1800 block of Southwest 22nd Street, when the accident occurred.

A Toyota Camry, which was being driven by an unidentified motorist, careened into the front of the post office, hitting the family members on the way.

Reports indicated Rosa went airborne momentarily, landing on the hood of the car. The child was ejected from his stroller, landing on the hood as well.

Although it did not appear as if the car struck Juan Fuentes, he sustained lacerations when pulling his wife and grandson to safety.

Miami Fire Rescue personnel contended none of the victims suffered serious injuries in the crash. The driver of the Camry managed to escape injury altogether.

The grandparents and their grandson were rushed to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

It was unknown if speed was a factor in the pedestrian-involved crash. Nonetheless, investigations are expected to be underway.
