DBTechno.com – New study were released about cancer risk factor and its relation with sleep, found that women who sleep less face increase in cancer risk whatever they exercise a lot or not.

The study was led by James McClain of the National Cancer Institute and was carried out with a total of 5,986 women in Maryland. It focused on women aged 18 to 65 and aimed at finding if regular exercise could reduce the risk of developing cancer.

What they found though was that not only did exercise have a major impact on the risk of cancer, but sleep did as well.

Researchers concluded that women who slept less than seven hours a night increased their risk of cancer. They faced a 47% increased risk of cancer overall compared to women who were active and slept over seven hours each night.
