Dallas, TX (AmericanInjuryNews.com)–The Dallas Morning News reported Dallas Fire Rescue responded to a 3-alarm fire this morning at the Sonora Palms apartment community this morning. Dallas Fire Department officials remain investigating the fire at the Lake Highlands apartment community located in the 8800 block of Fair Oaks Crossing. There are no reported injuries to dozens of residents and their children; however the damages were catastrophic.
Apparently the fire began after midnight early Monday morning and damaged 8 units in total. The damages left the residents, of the 8 units, homeless and at a complete loss of all personal effects and belongings. The heat from the fire also damaged two cars and a truck. The apartment community managers are attempting to place residents in nearby properties.
