Texas truck wreck attorney-Greco-says Amtrak train hits Texas semi-truck near Gainesville.
Dallas, TX (AmericanInjuryNews.com)–Amtrak’s Heartland Flyer traveling from Oklahoma City, to Fort Worth, Texas on Friday collided with a water tank truck on Friday. As reported by the Houston Chronicle via the Associated Press (AP), four of the Amtrak train passengers were injured in the truck wreck just south of Gainesville.
Dallas-Fort Worth area reports the injured driver of the 18-wheeler semi-truck was transported to an area hospital to be treated by doctors and nurses. Investigators for Amtrak, railway authorities and police officers stated the train was damaged in the semi-truck accident causing the remaining uninjured passengers to be transported by bus. More than 200 passengers were driven by bus to Fort Worth, almost 65 miles from the crash site. Apparently the truck was blocking the railroad crossing when the train struck.
