Motor vehicle driver kills Salt Lake City pedestrian

Salt Lake City man struck by car dies from injuries at hospital.

Salt Lake City, UT (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–Kelly Dale Almond, a 53 year-old Salt Lake City man was struck by a speeding driver on March 17, 2009. Almond stepped out from behind a truck parked along 400 North at 307 West when the driver of the car ran him over, as reported by the Salt Lake Tribune.

Almond was transported by emergency medical personnel to an area hospital where he was found to have suffered a traumatic brain injury and extensive abdominal injuries. Salt Lake City Police Department detectives have determined the driver of the car was speeding during the pedestrian versus car collision. Almond died three days after the motor vehicle collision, and detectives are determining if alcohol or drugs was a factor in the wrongful death of Mr. Almond.
