FHP says Broward County I-95 head on car crash leaves 1 dead and 3 injured.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) http://www.flhsmv.gov/fhp/ investigators report preliminary findings, on Monday, related to a fatal car crash, which occurred on I-95 at Broward Blvd., in Broward County Florida early Friday morning. As reported by the Sun Sentinel, FHP highway automobile accident investigators have confirmed the driver, of a 2003 BMW, who collided head on with a white 2005 Ford van carrying three passengers, at about 4:15 a.m., on Friday, was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of I-95.
The BMW’s driver, 31 year-old Davydson Soares of Pompano Beach, was driving on a suspended license, according to Florida Department of Motor Vehicles http://www.flhsmv.gov/ records, when he crashed into the van killing 23 year-old passenger, Aracely Mendoza from Miami. The driver of the Ford van and the two other passengers, all from Miami, were transported by emergency medical personnel to Broward General Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
Soares was injured in the car wreck and transported to Broward General Medical Center, treated for his minor injuries, and released. FHP states he was not wearing a seatbelt in the fatal motor vehicle collision and discovered he was recently charged with disorderly conduct on March 22, 2009, by Miami Beach police officers. FHP highway accident detectives are awaiting Soares toxicology results to determine if alcohol or drugs was a factor in his reckless driving.
