West Palm Beach, FL (JusticeNewsFlash.com)–The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) www.cpsc.gov issued a recall of 643,000 Evenflo Envision High Chairs because of reports of falls causing injury to infants, toddlers, and children. Evenflo Company Inc., of Miamisburg, Ohio, a children’s consumer products manufacturer has cooperated with the recall by the federal agency.
Evenflo has received 320 reports of seat backs detaching or reclining unexpectedly causing injuries numerous children who were sitting in the high chairs. One report from a family found dislodged screws in the mouth and hands of their child. The high chairs were made in China and sold to consumers nationwide at various mass merchandise retail establishments like Toys “R” Us, Babies “R” Us, K-Mart, and Burlington Coat Factory from December 2002 through April 2006.
Consumers must stop using the defective product immediately and contact Evenflo at (800) 233-5921 or visit the child product maker at www.evenflo.com. Consumers throughout America are injured every year by defective products. Poorly made consumer products can even cause deaths and innocent victims may be entitled to compensation for their damages and injuries.
