International Association of Outsourcing Professionals Forms Chapter to Improve Outsourcing Contracts
Inaugural Webinar to Feature Speakers from Dow Chemical, Liberty Mutual, Procter & Gamble and PA Consulting Group
/EIN News/ POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., April 16, 2009 – The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals™ (IAOP™) will launch its new Contracting Process Chapter with a Webinar on April 23 on “Efficient and Effective Contracting Processes.”
The inaugural online event, from 12 to 1 p.m. EST, will include a panel discussion featuring Ben Brock of Dow Chemical, Sanya Lawless of Liberty Mutual, Gayle Anderson of Procter & Gamble and Doug Plotkin of PA Consulting Group.
IAOP has formed this global virtual chapter to bring together the industry’s best thinkers to share their experiences in outsourcing contracting to help improve results. Brad Peterson and Paul Roy, both partners of Mayer Brown LLP in Chicago, are chairmen of this newest chapter.
“The contracting process determines results,” said chapter heads said. “This new chapter will provide outsourcing professionals with greater understanding and smarter ideas about the effects of their choices in the outsourcing contracting process.”
The chapter will explore such topics as strategies for the contracting process, setting up contracting teams, effective project management tools, information that suppliers need, key sourcing milestones, creating value, and effectively transferring knowledge from the negotiation to governance teams.
