Saffron was a visionary who brought Las Vegas style entertainment to Australia. The Roosevelt nightclub which he opened in the late 40’s, was the entertainment hub of the country. He was a leading concert promoter with legendary impresario Lee Gordon, bringing Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Nat King Cole, Buddy Holly, Bob Hope, Louie Armstrong, Johnny Cash, Harry Belafonte and over 200 other acts to adoring Fans. Simultaneously, he opened the first strip clubs in Australia, and owned over 50 night clubs bars, and hotels throughout the country.
