Dodgers’ baseball star, Manny Ramirez, tests positive for performance drugs.

Los Angeles, CA(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–As reported by the Los Angeles Times, Manny Ramirez, tested positive for performance enhancing drugs and will be suspended for 50 Major League Baseball (MLB) games. Dodgers’ Manager Joe Torre and Ramirez’s agent have no comment. The suspension is suspected to be announced Thursday afternoon.

Manny Ramirez, who is batting .348 with six home runs for the Dodgers, signed a two-year, $45 million contract with the MLB club this spring. The suspension will cost Ramirez about $7.7 million and place the Dodgers, who have the best record in baseball at 21-8, in a challenging situation for the 2009 season. The suspension is expected to last until July 3, 2009.
