Louisiana Wal-Mart shopper attacked by large rodent. Personal injury lawsuit filed in Louisiana court house.

Lafayette, LA(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–A Louisiana woman who was shopping at the Abbeville Wal-Mart store on October 11, 2008, filed a lawsuit against the massive national retail store chain, as reported by the Los Angeles Times. Louisiana personal injury lawyers, representing shopper, Rebecca White, filed a claim against Wal-Mart recently. Plaintiff’s attorneys are demanding compensation for the pain, suffering, mental anguish, fear, disabling injuries, medical expenses, and other related damages White suffered after she was allegedly attacked by a Nutria, while shopping in the store.

White was pushing her heavily loaded shopping cart down an isle in October, when a large rat like rodent, Nutria, ran out from behind a Coca-Cola (Coke) rack scaring the innocent shopper. White quickly pulled the heavy shopping cart towards her to protect her from the Nutria ramming the cart over her foot and breaking several bones. White fell unconscious from the traumatic event, was transported to a local hospital, and subsequently underwent surgery for her injuries. Attorneys assert in court documents, when Wal-Mart workers ran to White’s aid, they sluffed off the encounter, stating the unsuspecting shopper had met “Norman”, the store’s pet rat. According to Wikipedia www.wikipedia.org, a Nutria, also called coypu, are semiaquatic rodents that resemble either large rats or small beavers.
