Unfortunately, Rue & Ziffra’s NASCAR debut was short-lived due to a wild crash that ended NASCAR truck driver Mike Skinner’s evening all too early. Starting from the second position, Skinner took possession of first place during lap number one and continued to lead for the next 26 laps. Heading into Friday evening’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 in Charlotte, Mike Skinner and his #5 Randy Moss Motorsports team held first place in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Due to a mishap on pit row, Skinner fell to the eighth position on lap 34. Skinner’s Rue & Ziffra Tundra crashed on the very next lap after being bumped in the side by another racecar. Skinner’s truck was sent into the infield grass where it lost traction and went upwards across the width of the track and smacked right into the wall. The accident also collected driver T.J. Bell who was similarly in the wrong place at the wrong time. The crash worried all of those with Randy Moss Motorsports and Rue & Ziffra as Skinner’s truck went airborne and landed hard on its side. Fortunately, Mike was not harmed in the crash and was able to exit his truck without the assistance of emergency personnel who rushed to his aid.

Skinner’s disappointing premature exit from the 1.5 mile oval at Lowe’s Motor Speedway caused him to finish 29th and drop to second overall in the NASCAR Camping Truck World Series point standings. Though Skinner and his team are frustrated with the end-result, all of those with Randy Moss Motorsports and the personal injury law firm of Rue & Ziffra are thrilled that the safety equipment saved Mike from a helicopter trip to the hospital.

Mike Skinner and his #5 Randy Moss Motorsports team will take a well-deserved week off before returning to the track at Dover International Speedway on Friday, May 29th. The Central Florida law firm of Rue & Ziffra is exceptionally proud of Mike and his team’s efforts this weekend. The attorneys and staff are grateful to have been a part of such an enjoyable and unique experience and look forward to a continued allegiance with Mike Skinner and Randy Moss Motorsports!
