Alabama weekend pickup truck crash kills 2 young men seriously injures 2 others.
Mobile, AL(JusticeNewsFlash.com)–According to Alabama State Troopers, a Friday night pickup truck wreck left a teenager and a 20 year-old dead on Ramsey Road in Grand Bay, a small community in the Mobile area. The Press Register reported the 29 year-old driver, Carl L. Miller, from Theodore, drove his 1996 GMC pickup truck off the road and hit a tree. Two young Mobile men, 17 year-old Billy J. Miller and 20 year-old Joseph M. Miller were pronounced dead at the scene by Grand Bay area emergency medical services (EMS) personnel.
Alabama State Troopers investigating the fatal pickup truck wreck claim the driver and another passenger Jason Everett, 19, of Mobile were transported by EMS crews to University of South Alabama Medical Center for treatment of their serious injuries. Doctors and nurses treating the injured driver and passenger were unavailable for comment about their medical conditions. Grand Bay area highway accident investigator’s preliminary report indicates none of the four men, including the driver, were wearing seat belts at the time of the truck crash.
On Monday, June, 1, 2009, Alabama State Troopers, in cooperation with Mobile County prosecuting attorneys, charged the 29 year-old GMC pickup truck driver, Carl Miller, with two counts of murder and one count of leaving the scene of an automobile accident with injury as reported by Fox 17, WZTV Nashville. The relationship of the driver and passengers remains unknown at this time. The driver remains in police custody at the Mobile County Metro Jail awaiting a bond hearing before the judge.
