/EIN News/ Kulvinder S Sethi also know as Vic Sethi of Leicester to many was born in Delhi, migrated to Kuwait with his parents Atamjit S Sethi and Kuldip K Sethi to Kuwait. He says his parents always wanted the children to be multi-cultural. Vic was born in an Indian family, lived in a Muslim country so could read, write & speak Arabic was educated in a Roman Catholic Convent school so he and his two younger sisters Veenu Sethi and Preety Sethi could understand and respect all religions.
He came to the UK in 1991 during the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq and started to work with his mothers brother Mr Jaswinder S Kohli also known as Mr Bawa Kohli of Manchester. There he worked hard and flourished the business. His first deals were exports of containers of Osram brand Lighting directly from Osram Germany to Kuwait. He then exported VCRs and other Electronic equipment to Egypt from Singapore. Later he developed and specialised in dealing with the Multi-National retailers in the UK. In 1994 he got married to Dimple K Sethi in Leicester and moved to Leicester to team up with his father in law Mr Rajwans S Anand and his brother in law Harjot S Anand. Together they worked hard and built the company up in to a Multi-Million Empire. In 2007 he founded and established the company Hyundai Corporation (Electronics) of UK, which specialises in Hyundai brand products to the retailers and cash and carry’s of UK. He also plays a very active role in contributing back to the community and charities. He is the President of Hyundai Corp. (Electronics) UK, CEO of Daewoo International (Europe), Chairman of GNG Football Club, founder member and a Rotarian of Rotary Club of Leicester Novus, Board Member of The Prince’s Trust, founder member of The BACL British Asian Conservative Party of Leicester. He was awarded the Industry award and he said that this achievement would have not been possible without the blessings of The Almighty, his both parents in Leicester and Kuwait, Friends, Relatives, well wishers, Staff and people who helped and supported him on the way up.
