North Carolina highway patrol alerts North Carolina personal injury attorney’s- A car crash into a tree left 1 dead and two others with critical injuries.

Dobson, NC—A vehicle driven by a 14-year-old slammed into a tree and killed one woman and critically injured three others. The crash happened early Wednesday morning, August 19, 2009, at 1 a.m., as reported by the Mount Airy News.

According to North Carolina Highway Patrol reports, a car driven by a unidentified 14-year-old male from Mount Airy was speeding on Gap Road near Riverside Drive, when he crossed the center line and slammed into a tree. A backseat passenger, Chelsie Lynn Thompson, 18, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by responding emergency medical services (EMS) professionals. Two other passengers, Christopher Jordan, 18, who was also in the backseat, and Joshua Ingalls, 16, were seriously injured in the wreck. Both Jordan and Ingalls are from Mount Airy. Reports indicated Jordan, Ingalls, and the driver were all transported by EMS crews to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem for treatment of their critical injuries. Police officials believe everyone was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.

Emergency response teams from Four Way Volunteer Fire Department, the Mount Airy Rescue Squad, and the Surry County Emergency services responded to the emergency call. The name of the driver was not released the due to his age.
